Exquisite Tattoos Give A Surrealistic Twist To Plant And Animal Life

Polish tattoo artist Joanna Świrska, or Dzo Lamka, creates stunning body paintings inspired by plants, animals, fungi, and surrealism. As the owner of Nasza Tattoo Shop in Wrocław, Poland, her unique designs often feature these different elements in a bold, unique style that uses black stripes and selected color areas.

Wirska showcases some of her best work on her Instagram. These range from tattoos on the hands and feet to small designs on the shoulders or ankles. Each tattoo is tailored to the client's style and needs, and the artist is known for her repetitive designs, one of which is a mouse drawing on a black background. Utilizing negative space and styling shadow technology, Åšwirska creates the illusion that she sprays on black skin with a stencil-like fern.

In addition to her plant-related tattoos, Åšwirska also depicts a variety of insects, birds, and animals. Some pieces tend to be hyper-realistic with depictions of biking cats and kangaroos carrying backpacks, while others capture animal species realistically. Often the focus of the tattoo, like a flower or animal, is full of color and the rest of the design is done in black. This limited blade makes her body art more attractive to look at.
